Our Legacy

MES Arts and Science College, Perinthalmanna is a renowned educational institution in the self-financing sector affiliated to the University of Calicut. The institution was founded in 2013 with the objective of addressing the need for excellent higher education in the Malabar Region and fulfilling the career ambitions of the youth. The initial campus was established at the MES Medical College Complex, offering four UG programmes. In 2015, the college was moved from its temporary location to a new 5-acre campus. This relocation brought about enhanced infrastructure, the introduction of new programmes, and a substantial increase in the number of students and staff. In 2024, the institution currently provides 10 undergraduate (UG) and 3 postgraduate (PG) degrees. It has approximately 1000 students and a staff of 57. Over the course of 11 years, the institution has developed its own unique educational plan and provided guidance to young individuals, leading them to successful professions in many fields.

The institution has inherited the legacy of the Muslim Educational Society, which has guided generations since its establishment in 1964.The core value of this college is based on the combination of academic achievement and social responsibility. In addition to fulfilling academic responsibilities, the college has also prioritised the welfare of the society. Following the path laid down by the MES, the institution has made sincere efforts in extending support to the ailing public. The transformation of the college campus into a temporary hospital during the Covid phase is a commendable demonstration of its dedication to societal responsibility. In the same manner, the college develops programmes to establish and sustain a robust and profound connection with the society.
