Department of Home Science

The department was started in 2025. The department offers B.Sc. Family and Community Science and career-oriented add-on courses. Under UGC, Family and Community Science is a professional course. It concerned with the basic necessities of life – food, clothing and shelter. Today the Home Science curriculum has been restructured and scientifically planned to make it multi-dimensional and skill-oriented. The faculty aims to bring out professionals who can work as academicians, researchers, nutritionists, dietitian, fashion designers, interior designers, diet consultants, food experts and innovators.
